In 1986, Yaltır Tarım Ürünleri Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. with the title in Adana (Turkey) it has made investments in the production of strawberries advanced technology topics.The main field of activity of our company is the production of strawberry fruit and seedlings, as well as domestic and foreign marketing. Our company is also a researcher organization recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture. In addition, our company produces blackberry, blueberry and raspberry fruit. Additionally to its nursery facilities, soil and soilles as well as open and protected berry cultivation can be done.
Main task in the project
Yaltır company evaluates 10 strawberry commercial cultivars, 4 commercial blueberry cultivars and 2 raspberry commercial cultivars in their germplasm resources. Adaptation abilities and selection of resilient abilities of blueberry, strawberry and raspberries in Southern part of Turkey will be done by Yaltir in field conditions. Yaltir also characterises pre-breeding material of strawberry, raspberry, and blueberry.
